    Re: New Beotalk

No plans on such a thing. Since most phoneline providers are offering some sort of voice mail, there will be a very limited market for a BeoTalk..

...and it was officially announced that the beocom5 will be the last telecomunication product from B&O...

Sure? I always thougt they were officially announcing end of development and production for all digital gadgets like mobile phones, mp3-players and so on. Imho there wasn´t any talk about giving up landline phones.

The end of phones was announced separately. Since the situation was announced under Kalle and not TBS, the assumption is that it will stand. I still get requests for answering machines, though!

The BeoTalk 1200 was a great product, but it was a different time then now

Yesd, I agree, mine is getting old. Plus it is not so easy to manage all the functions.

Meantime I like it very much. I am thinking to replace my dead Beocom6000 by the new Beocom5.

    Cheers,

    Re: New Beotalk

I never use voicemail. I just want a solid inhouse answering machine. With seperate caller greetings and a filter option.

btw is the beotalk 1200 still working on adsl telephone lines ?

    Re: New Beotalk

Ok, good to hear that its working for you GuyHui.

    Ill keep it in mind.

I still have a beotalk 1400. But I couldnt get it to work properly on even a landline ?

I have read something about a proper Y part from B&o. maybe thats it I just used a regurlar Y part from an hardware store.  I got it to work but in a real bad sound quality and with somekind of background noise.

Pity they didnt have one  incorporated in the beocom 5
