Dear Peter and Svend fans !
I'm planning of changing my 32" beloved Avant.
It still works perfectly, so no hurry, but I can't put that out of my mind.
So, the question is simple : will you imagine a BV8-40 (bargain choice) on the black cabinet instead of the Avant in this picture ?
For the BV10-40, I don't ask, I know it will fit perfectly (but the price...) !
Thanks for your help.
Gregory

Don't think a BV8 would fit... The BV8 isn't good looking if you ask me. Get a BV5 or BV10.

Actually I like the Beovision 8. But now that I've seen the Beovision 10, I wouldn't get a Beovision 8 anymore. I'd suggest to wait a little longer, put some money aside and get a Beovision 10.

... as said previoulsy, save your money to get the BV10.
This beast is very beautiful, stylish and has that typical B&O touch.
Just my two cents,
Guy

Thanks a lot guys.
It seems that the BV8-40 option is a no-no.
If money wasn't an issue I would have gone for a BV7-40 but, you know, the house, the cars, the holidays, three kids...
So, I will have to consider a BV10.
It will be in my dealer's shop tomorrow, so wait and see.
BTW, I heard that some of you can manage to fit a BV8 in that picture with a little work (photoshop), anyone ?
Cheers,
Gregory

I think the Avant looks great.
For cash-flow reasons (skint!) I've managed to convince myself that my Beovision 3 looks fabulous with its silver surround and provides the best picture and sound possible. Oh, and the screen's exactly the right size also! Whether or not i'm deluding myself wholly or in part doesn't really matter as I believe it and am very happy.
That may change however when or if the money situation improves.

Lee I totally agree with you !
This is place for BV5
What about Black-black I think it is perfect !
when your Black Label begin to taste like juice just take shot or two of Absinthe and
after that quench with some vodka, if you still feel juice like take beer
with grappa !

You should put the 9000 on the wall, and buy a BV8-40 and put where the 9000 is today. Then you can fully use the BL8000s for both TV and CD/radio. A Bluray player and some BL4000s and you have a beautiful surround setup...

I just saw the squares on your cabinet and thought 'BV5' immediately
You have a lot of sharp corners and squares going on in that room, so a TV like the 5 would fit well.. My own choice would be Silver surround with a Black fret on a motor floor stand, although an easel stand would look just as good..

Have to agree. The silver surrounds works better with the silver Beolab 8000's.

This would be far too high.
No TV possible on this cabinet in my opinion.
You need to rearrange this.... ;-) Be sure to use TV and BS9000 linked and use the BL8000 with the TV, too.

The BV5 looks amazing, wow !
I already thought of installing a TV (bv7-40 for example) on that cabinet, but it's too high.
Well, the choice won't be easy except I fall in love with BV10 today.
For me, to buy a late BV5 will be a solution if it cost less than a BV10.
Thanks again.

A used BV5 would be cheaper then a new BV10.
I would move the left speaker to the left of the TV and connect the speakers to the TV (option 2) with masterlink to BS9000 (option 0), so you always use the BL8000's.
