    BS9000 connected to BV8 issue

    Hi,

My BS8000 that is connected to a BV8 acts a little strange now and then. When I select a CD to play, it often only plays the first number on that CD and then skips to the next CD. Once in a while it will also play only the first number on that CD and move on the the next CD, but more often it plays that CD properly.

I can not get the problem reproduced every time, therefore this description is somewhat vague.

I operate this set using the Beo5.

Anybody any ideas on the root cause and solution?

Re: BS9000 connected to BV8 issue

I do not have an answer, but my parents brand new BV8-40 have had the same impact once on their BS9000. I thought it was the BS9000 having problems with the disc, as this is sometimes the case. They didn't notice, and it continued to play the rest of the evening.

They use both Beo4 and BL1000.

    Living room: BV7-40 mkIV + V8000, BL5, BL3, BM1 and BS9000. Bedroom: MX3000 and BL4500 on MCL2-AV. Around: PentaIII, CX100 and MCX35 on ML/MCL + MCL2-A, BeoPort and BL4 on ML, BS3300 + M75 as stand alone, BC6000 + BC600 and BT1100, LC1, LC2, Beo4, Beo5 and BL1000, BS2 and A8, EarSet2, Apron, Coffee mugs, Enamel Bagdes, Bath towel, Keyring, Books, Lots of miniature and the Bottle opener. Office: BC2300 + BL2500 and BS3. Summer house: BS Century.

    Addicted? Oh no.... ;)

Have you told your dealer about this problem?

Could it be that there is no new software downloaded for the  Master Link connection print that you have installed? It is absolutely neccessary to update this sw otherwise there are a number of problems such as the one you discribe.

Thanks for the info; I have no idea if the correct SW is installed for the masterlink connection. I will check with my dealer; they need to visit me anyhow, so I hope this will fix it.

    Thanks again!
