problem using speakers with non- B&O

    Hi everyone

I was given some beolab 8000s and 6000s and my local B&O centre advised me that I could connect them to my existing TV/computer/MP3 etc. using a headphone jack to phono lead. Duly went out and purchased all leads to find that the speakers won't turn on from standby when attached to any of these things.

    How can I solve this?

    Thanks

Have you set the switch near the socket on the speaker to LINE?

Fantastic! That was in fact all that was needed!

However, one of the 8000s is making a loud feedback noise in this setting, and obviously, no sound in the other setting. Is this likely to be a fault with the speaker or something else I'm doing wrong?

Thanks so much for the advice!
