    Beogram 2402

What to do when the arm doesn't lift or drop properly! Everything else works fine...I can't find if there is a spot that requires lubrication or not. It drops the arm pretty quickly and barely lifts the arm. Why I had to buy a 6th B&O turntable I'll never know!! Always a hair pulling experience!

Thanks in advance for any help given!

Most probably the standard issue with this type of mechanism. The lift mechanism has a small brass pin that seizes in its bushing. Search the forums, I think it was Beogram 1700 in the title of the nice thread that had an explanatory picture as well.

EDIT: it was 1902. Good luck!

I only have 6 now! And one of those (actually a 2402!) should be going soon!

Well I actually do have some reason for my madness. I have the Beomaster 2400-2 with the remote so I couldn't pass over the Beogram 2402 Big Smile

    Excellent! Smile

I actually have a Beogram 4004, but no BM2004-2 (I suppose this was the only Beomaster with compatible remote functions?), which annoys me. I've been thinking about a little microcontroller project that would make it work with later Datalink...

    Re: Beogram 2402

Well the Beogram 2402 was sold with the BM 2400-2 as far as I know....same styling. Of course a BG4004 would be nice. I have a 4002 but wouldn't help, no datalink. My next project is to get a stylus for my BG 6500, I have never heard by BG 6500, hope it sounds good. Can't spend more on B&O at the moment :(

I've got a MMC5 with a broken cantiever somewhere if you can afford to send it to Axel for refurbishing - you're welcome to it. I know the channels were fine when I gave it to my brother before he broke it.

    Chris.
