Re: BEOWORLD UK MEET - 2010
9 LEE:
I'm just confirming dates - i needed to guage popularity first. Sorry.
Would anyone object to BeoWorld selling tickets for this event for say £20 each, then spending the whole amount raised on a lovely B&O Prize to be drawn on the night? I'm thinking BeoSound 1, BeoSound 4 or similar. It would certainly add some excitement and disperse yet more B&O !!
I would also have some more B&O goodies on the night as 'runners up' prizes i'm sure...
Lee
Lee just tell me where to pay 20 GBP !
Great idea !! I'm in ...
when your Black Label begin to taste like juice just take shot or two of Absinthe and

Another prize draw! I'm in too!
Beoworld's twenty-eighth ninth prize winner and fifty-first second prize winner. Best £30 I've ever spent!

Count me in for the £20
If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

Great idea Lee - think you got the price spot on - hope it generates some more interest.

Re: BEOWORLD UK MEET - 2010
Andy - i'd loosen my right leg in preparation after reading your signature. I'll show you my iPhone if you're at the 2010 meet
Glad this has met with approval - i though it was a pretty good idea myself! I think someone else suggested it, but as i don't remember i'll shamelessly steal the thunder.

Re: BEOWORLD UK MEET - 2010
£20 OK with me.
The lack of a fixed date is still a barrier to progression.

Re: BEOWORLD UK MEET - 2010
Haha no i wish it was! cousin now has a DB9 lol Depends if i drive or if my cousin does (hes a big b&o fan but is on holiday at the moment but im sure will be on soon to say if he can make it or not) and if he can he will drive but will bring his range rover if anybody wanted a lift as nobody can fit in the back of a db9 unless you are 3ft tall!! tried at christmas to get my other cousin in the back and shes 8 and with the seat right forward she only just managed! worth it though as it has the Bang & Olufsen Sound System :P

I have some 'product placement' at my local Audi dealer (located about 400 yards away from LifeStyle HQ). I mentioned to the DP it was my wifes Birthday (this August) and was given (or should i say had forced upon me!) a brand spanking new R8 V10 in Sepang Blue for the Bank Holiday weekend.. Thursday evening until Tuesday morning!
I managed to pull a muscle in my neck fighting the 'G's, did 155mph on our local (empty) dual carriageway, and needed anger management therapy during my short spell as its custodian! This car is off the scale bonkers...
All you want to do is hammer the throttle and listen to that noise it makes.. It HOWLS !! It also makes you want to overtake everything in your path, bully other high performance cars, and drive at the fastest speed possible at every opportunity.
A total and utter 'licence-loser' and to be very honest i was glad to give it back. Here's a pic of it (taken with a camera phone - hence the low quality) on my driveway whilst i was 'calming down' inside the house

Re: BEOWORLD UK MEET - 2010
VERY nice :)
My other neighbour has a Ferrari 430 and that sounds poo in comparison to the R8. I would honestly rather take the Audi for a spin than the Ferrari, even if it is still a very very distant cousin of my V5 Beetle.

Haha yes they are great fun, we did something silly like that in it too, my cousin used to have a TVR Tuscan and that is one hard car to drive, 100mph in second and on a private road ofc we managed 165, had the chance to drive a Ferrari last year and boy was that fun!! 180mph and a whole load of noise! :P will post a couple of pictures when im on the other macbook! absolutely great fun, im a big car enthusiast so as you can imagine i could talk about cars all night so im going to refrain and look and more bang and olufsen and leave that for the motoring forums! lol

Last car related post on this thread. Here's a pic of me trying to load the 'shopping' and cases up when we went away in it. It's really designed for people that 'travel light'

Re: BEOWORLD UK MEET - 2010
Im going to finish it hear and say thats nothing we managed to get a set of golf clubs, some shopping and a trolly with 2 people in it!! if im honest it was slightly uncomfortable for me who had to hold the clubs lol buts yes its made for traveling light......put it this way you buy a bang and olufsen mobile because you love the design, feel, quality regardless of weather its practical or not.....at least with my experiences lol i have a serenata and its possibly the least practical phone for texting and e-mails which i do have to do from time to time but i love it and couldn't care less same with the R8 I guess........sacrifice the practicality for a whole load of fun and some great looks!

Gorgeous car Lee, and I love the colour! Just to digress, you said the photo's were poor as they were from a 'ohone camera. Wouldn't be an iphone by any chance? My new 32 gig iphone is not taking pictures anywhere near thast quality!
