    New Battery - Beosound 2

I bought a second-hand Beosound 2, but as I use it a lot walking to and from medical school, I tend to wear the battery down quite quickly. This might be because it's a used unit, but should I be getting more than about 3-4 hours playback from it? Is it possible to either get a new battery fitted by B&O, or better still, have an aftermarket super-battery fitted to boost life a bit?

It's getting a bit annoying having to constantly pop it back on the dock every few days >:|

When I had mine, I used to get 8-10 hours or so at least.  I was using it for 45m each way en route to lectures and a bit more, charging once per week or something like that.  I'd be surprised if B&O weren't using an off-the-shelf (ie replaceable) battery though.

One of my three BS2's was used more than the others and after about two years of use the battery life declined to about 3 hrs. I sent it back to B&O and they rebuilt it with a new battery. It is now back to 8-10hrs of life and I am now otating the use of the three units to maximize the battery life.

I suggest that you need a new battery....

    Thanks guys :)

Is there a part number for the battery? I'd be happy to fit it myself, as the case screws off once you unscrew the docking receptor from the unit.

I do not know what the part # is as I just gave my unit to the local B&O Store and recieved it back about 10 days later. Perhaps you local store can provide the part #.
