Apple TV internet radio from iPod Touch?

Is the newly introduced internet radio facility on the ATV directly accessable from the Touch via 'Remote'?

If I select from the TV on-screen menu of my ATV an internet radio station via the _Apple_ remote, the radio station plays and appears on the TV screen and also on the screen of my Touch and I am able to pause/start it. What I can't seem to find is a way of getting the station(s) on my Touch without firstly accessing internet radio on my TV using the Apple remote.

As I normally don't have my ATV connected to my TV only to my B&O stereo system for audio, I want a method whereby I can just select and listen to internet radio on the ATV from the Touch without going via the TV and using the Apple remote.
Anyone know if this is possible?

    Thanks in advance.

There are different apps in the App Store that gives your iPod touch the possibility to play internet radio.

But you won't find an App with exactly the same stations as in the iTunes application and the AppleTV.

Maybe this is something Apple will add in the future.

As I suspected Macus, thanks for the prompt response. Seems an odd omission to me but there it is!

I am not sure how I did it, but I just used the search function in the new touch pad part of Remote on the Apple and I was able to go to one internet radio station on Apple TV and have the station appear on the iTouch. I have no more time right now but will have to experiment with it some more later.

Thanks for that, just selected 'Remote' app then 'seach', but this only seems to search for songs etc on the ATV.

Please continue your experiment and report back!

Re: Apple TV internet radio from iPod Touch?

I had a few minutes over lunch to look a little more on it. I think I see what is happening. I previously created a playlist entitled N. Radio on iTunes on our Mac. That playlist has been copied on to Apple TV when synching and thus is available on the iTouch. If I go to playlists for Apple TV on the iTouch I get not only regular music playlists but also the N. Radio playlist and I can then select any station in that playlist or search by name for any station in it.

I have played with it some more. It appears that any net radio station placed in an iTunes playlist entitled N. Radio will sync to the Apple TV and can then be slected with an iTouch without viewing the TV screen, just as with other music. I just added 68 stations to my playlist and they instantly appeared on Apple TV.

As A side note, using the "control" option with the new Remote software, it is possible to access all features of the Apple TV such as settings, TV shows, Movies, etc and control them from the iTouch.  I find the response to these controls much quicker with the iTouch than with the Beo 4.

Also, when searching for a Youtube video etc on apple TV, I have noticed  (maybe been there all along and I did not know it)  a keyboard appears on the iTouch that can be used instead of choosing letters on the TV screen with the cursor.

Going to the heading "Songs" on the iTouch will also produce a list of all music including internet radio stations alphabetically.
