    Someone must know? Beocom 2

    Hi Beoworld!!!

My beocom 2 has stopped working, very odd!! It was working fine up to around week ago. Then kept flashing with the B&O logo couple of times a day but only when on the stand and now just stopped working, dead! Any ideas?

Sorry to suggest the obvious, have you tried switching off the handset and powering off the base? It sounds cliched but it sometimes works and enables the handset to re-connect with the base.

I agree with Opman. I can't think of anything else to try. I had a few issues with my BeoCom 2 behaving strangely once - the screen went blank - did as Opman suggests and all was well. Think of it like a hard boot or a master reset etc. Leave it off overnight maybe then set it up as new again the following day. Turn the PSTN base off too. Note your phonebook entries in case you need to back them up. Best wishes.

Re: Someone must know? Beocom 2

Hi thanks for the advice just wanted to update you

I turned the base off and let the battery run down, left it for a couple of days then re-registered the phone.  Now at this point it worked perfectly for the last 24hrs until the information started to flash!! And now says “no contact with base” if I take it off the base it just keeps turning itself off and then back on!!

Is this a battery fault? If so, I understand the battery can only be changed by an B&O engineer? Does anyone know what this will cost?

    Many thanks guys.

    Hi James,

Think it was £25. Give them a quick call before you make the journey just to make sure they have a battery and they are stil providing the service. It was last year I had it done.
