    Update firmware sony's playstation 3

    I know that there several members own's a ps3.

Sony released new software (at the moment 3.02) for the ps3, which makes it possible to use several audio-sockets at the same time.

Till now you had to choose between the analog, optical digital or HDMI output for sound.

Now it is possible to use the optical digital out AND the stereo analog signal.

So you start with stereo audiosignal through the analog socket of your BV/BS and when DD/DTS is available, the BV/BS will automatically switch to the digital input.

Update your systemsoftware, choose the right audioformats (optical with DD and DTS) and after that choose "yes" at the option "multi-ouput".

    Hi Beobuddy,

Thank you for the tip. Will your suggested setting provide the optimum setting for playing a Blue Ray disc?

    Regards

    Keith

    Hi Keith,

The setting works for all media, internal (XMB Crossbar) sound, DVD, Blu-Ray and through mediastreaming.

Normally you had to set the digital output to have DD or DTS without having the stereo sound from the menu.
