hello beopeople

 i have an Avant (28 RF VCR), connected via ML to an ouverture, and now an MX4002, the MX is conncetd via RF from the back of the Avant and is controlled via ML...so far so good,

 i have the MX on OPTION 6

 

i can turn on sky..change channels...go through favorites..scroll through EPG..but....i cannot get the Sky Plus menu up..the grey one on the side of the avant..if i go into the avant room, press "menu" i get the grey menu down the side..if i go into the MX room and press menu..i get the <X menu.....

 any ideas ???

Yes it is normal, the menu cannot be seen from a link room, but you can still access the same features by pressing Go + a number. The only difference is that you have to remember the number for each function.

Note that this menu is generated by the Avant, not by the Sky box,

I once had a Beo4/SKY+ button guide on pdf but cant find it now. Can anyone donate it to Beoworld and get Peter to add it to frequently asked question, please.

I think the following is what you are looking for:-

Thanks for that Keith. I have been doing everything on my Beo4 except record. Obviously, if you use the record button on the Beo4 it starts the video in my Avant so it's very handy to find out about GO RED.
I've been keeping the ugly plastic Sky worker hidden behind a picture frame for occasional use so I can put it up in the loft with my Ferguson HI-FI and LX4500.
