    Beomaster 1900

Hello out there! I recently acquired a Beomaster 1900 which has a problem.

After switching on it will not go from "stand-by" to the selected mode, ie: FM', Phono or Tape. Instead there is a slight 'click' from the relay inside and it just remains in "stand-by" mode. Sometimes the control panel lights up momentarily...but then just "stand-by" mode again.

Can any one please shed some light on what this problem might be.

    Regards,

    Edwin

    Re: Beomaster 1900

    Hi Edwin,

Welcome to Beoworld !  Yes - thumbs up

Probably a power fault, some wrong load somewhere or a capacitor fault.
Capacitor kits exists for almost all of the Beomaster models, including this one, and
it's highly recommended to replace the lot (there's many in there).
Having said that, I would check the 15V supply first and the solder joints
to the large output stage transistors (on the cooling fins), they tend to crack,
placing an uneven load on the power supply.
