Mac Mini connectivity with Beo vision 7-40

    Hi all,

Need some help here.. I have jus purchased a mac mini, which is supplied with dvi-d adapter.. And with beo-vision 7-40 with built in dvd player not the blu ray, only accepts pc signal through dvi-i . How do i convert signal from the dvi-d coverter provided by mac to my dvi-i input at the back of the 7-40.

    Please help....

You can connect your mac mini in two ways:

    1. Digital: You need an adapter from DVI to HDMI and use a HDMI input on your bv7

    2. Analog: You need a VGA adapter from Apple (displayport to VGA or Mini-DVI to VGA) and connect it to the VGA input of your BV7

    Hi Msinn,

The model of beo vision 7-40 i have is of the 2006-2007 model. which does not have an hdmi input. Where as of vga, it clearly states in the manual that it is only used for connecting projectors and the pc input has to be dvi-i. I tried with the VGA, but there is no connectivity visible after tuning pc on the beo remote...

    help again please....

The dvi of your BV7 supports analog and digitag signals, as does the mac mini. If you are sure the dvi cable is ok, the problem most likely is in the configuration of your BV7. How have you configured the inputs of your BV7?

Re: Mac Mini connectivity with Beo vision 7-40

I have two converters for the mac mini, 1> Mini dvi - to DVI-D, 2> Mini dvi to VGA. My problem lays in the situation as it is impossible to fund a dvi cable from a DVI-D converter of the apple to DVI-I input at the back of the BV7 and if i use option 2: i have used a vga cable to connect from the convrter of (mini dvi to VGA) and hooked it BV7at the vga socket.

Now the VGA as i have mentioned earlier post, is only used for projector purpose as the customer service people themselves have said it.

I have still made sure i had the PC on display of my beo remote and the vga cable connected to the BV7, but it just turns on with with out a pc display.

I hope you have understood my problem... thanks alot for all the effort till now mate..

How have you configured the AV4 input of your BV7? Is it set to PC?

Take the mini DVI adapter and plug a DVI to HDMI cable to it, then you're done.

For the sound, refer to my article.

I do not have a HDMI input at the back of the beo 7-40 as it is a 2006 model... any other forms of connection?
