I am so tempted to buy a full HD BV9 for ca. 8.500 - 9.500 EUR. The prices in this part of the world seem to have ditched - possibly in anticipation for the BV10. My first purchase at B&O was a new Avant DVD and i simply just love this set. I wonder if i should part with my hard earned cash? By the way thanks to all of you regular posters for keeping me entertained and informed :-).....

    Re: BV9

The BV9 comes with an excellent picture, hardly any negative remarks with respect to picture reproduction (compared to the LCD line up) and I would go for it.

    Hi Rob,

i would also suggest you to go for it. I´ve got a BV9 in FullHD for over 1,5 years now, and i still feel good with my decission, although my price was much higher that time. There are no major complains, but it sometimes needs a second try to turn on the picture, and the software does also look a little bit to early released, if you understand what i mean. There is no question, that it works, but try to get it updated.

Most time i use the internal Satreceiver and DVDs, and the picture is very good, so there is no need for HDsources. I also use Blueray, but the improvement is questionable at 6m viewingdistance. The internal HDR picture is not that good, but nice integrated.

    Hi Stephan!

Do you have 6 meters viewing distance? Is it OK, doesn't the picture look small?

I my self have 6 meters. I love BV9 but believe 50 inch is to small. Waiting for BV7-55, but I'm worried about the picture problems discussed on this site for BV7.

BV4-65? Nah. Cant justify that amount of money for something I can get at a tenth of the price.

What you have described is exactly my plan Smile

I too have an Avant 32 DVD, and is going to buy a second hand BV9, ( when I have enough money that is Unsure).

    Hi Rob,

If there is nothing wrong with the Avant and you love it like we all do, then just keep it and get some speakers instead!!! :)

Wow, that's crazy. That's less than *half* the UK price. Over here, the BV9 is around £16K, so it's a steal at EUR 8500.

It's going to be interesting to see how they price up a BV10-46+ when that arrives, next year. Not sure how they'll be able to justify the price of the BV9-50, when a BV10-46 will be much much cheaper.

    Is 16 000 £ for a new or used?

But 9 000 € must be for a BV9 on the second hand market. But anyway, that is very cheap and I wouldn't hesitate to get a full HD BV9 for that price.

    Re: BV9

I am glad to see that you all share my enthusiasm. We can now jointly bid on Ebay and drive up the prices :-)... The last 2 BV9s sold for 7.150 and 8.801 EUR on Ebay (both newish and full HD). There is currently also a model type 9710 being auctioned. These will not be the last - I am sure that more will come our way. The last auction ended at at 1am - I fell asleep on the keyboard. On the other hand you never know which of these things are hoaxes. I have been scammed on Ebay before with B&O stuff - fortunately I did not loose money.
