When I hook up my PC to my Beosound 2000 via Aux. input, I can adjust the volume on either the PC or the Beosound. Is there a preferred method in order to maximize sound quality since I'd like to record the output using the Beosound's tape deck? Should I crank up the volume all the way on my computer and use the Beosound to turn it down, or do it the reverse way? Or doesn't it matter?
Thanks in advance.
Depending on which program you utilize ( Media Player, Media Centre, etc ), it is usually best to maximize first the PC volume, and then adjust the level to your liking with the Beosound, or a B&O remote.
Thanks - that's what I would have guessed. I'm using Windows Media Player to stream archived broadcast audio from a radio station's web site.
Have you tried this using Media Center ? There is a + difference in the audio quality.
No - I'll look into that. Thanks.
