Well, Lee was kind enough to let me have a play with the new Beotime, so I thought I'd share my thoughts and experiences with you fine people.
The parcel arrived on Friday morning.

Well, first thing I noticed, is that it is much lighter than Becky's flute

Now then, let's have a look.....

...on second thoughts, better not use the knife. Might have a mis-hap!

Typical LifestyleAv packing!  Half a square mile of shrinkwrap.

...then three miles of bubblewrap!

...but eventually!  No Lee, I didn't kink the box, it came like that. There is also something rattling around in it. Hope it's not goosed!

Ah! It was just the batteries.
I'm glad they are not in the Beotime, Beaker had said in his review that there was something about installing them.

There was also this little box that contains the bracket to screw on a wall. It says "Battery Cover Key Inside" on it.

There is also the instruction book, but I'm going to endeavour not to look in it, and see if a simple person like myself can work it without.

The Beotime itself, is in this imitation suedette sack.  Oh, I do like this pretty ribbon tied into a bow, with Bang & Olufsen written over and over on it!

This is what comes in the box.
The black rectangular piece to the right of the white box, is the battery compartment key.

I would think that this is easily lost or broken.

It feels very light without the batteries in, about the weight of 5 reasonably worn knee-socks.

Sounds a bit like the Maglite flashlight. By far and away the best torch ever made, but lacking substance without the batteries. (With the batteries a good self defence weapon!)
