    Beomaster 4500 & S120.2 Speaker Combination

Just a quick question, it has been said that my pairing of a Beomaster 4500 with S120.2 speakers is completely unrealistic…. that it, the Beomaster 4500 is woefully inadequate to the demands of these power hungry speakers.

    Do you agree?

No! I have used S120s with all sorts of amplifiers and they work fine with all of them. The amplifier in the 4500 is perfectly good - remember that most listening is at only a few watts.

    Re: Beomaster 4500 & S120.2 Speaker Combination

    Hi Peter,

Well that makes me fell a whole lot better.

With the MMC3 and at higher volume, the MC120.2 speakers sounded plastic, artificial, and unnatural.

I was surprised by this as the Beomaster 4500 had done an AMAZING job at powering my Linn Isobaric and McIntosh ML2’s.

So perhaps it was the MMC3 that was at fault more than the MC 120.2 speakers.

    Jeff
