    stereo sound with beomaster 1001 ?

    Hi, I have been given a beomaster amplifier 1001 with two 1001 speakers. I switched on a cd player on the tape slot and it works fine except for the sound which is not is stereo but in mono. (the stereo light doesn't seem to work). Any idea what the problem might be ?

    Welcome to Beoworld !   Yes - thumbs up

    The stereo lamp could be burned so don't trust that too much.
    Check that you have your speakers connected to a left and a right socket
    respectively and check that the mono button is not pressed.
    One of the volume sliders will control the left speaker, the other the right one.

    Beovox 1001 are rare speakers and actually very good sounding with the Beomaster.
    Funny build really, in that the front grills are metal with thousand of little holes.
    Take good care of them.

    Hi Emmaz

    I am sure Martin will correct me if I am wrong but I think you will only light the Stereo lamp if you are switched to radio and find a station broadcasting a stereo signal.  The lamp is illuminated by the stereo decoder and will not light for other inputs.
