    Hmm [^o)] AV9000 & AV900 MASTER PANEL

Can someone help?. Recently brought a AV9000 & master panel, but found the VCR and cassette player are not working, the VCR will rewind and forward wind but will not play, the cassette player will not do anything although it does make a clicking noise if you press play or forward/ rewind, every thing seems to be working perfectly. I would be grateful for any imput on this subject, i have been trying to find a service manual, these seem hard to come by.

Sounds like both will need new drive belts

The video is similar to a VX7000 so that may help or use the scart to add another one?

I would be inclined to say belts as well! Who uses VCRs these days anyway? :)

    Re: AV9000 & AV900 MASTER PANEL

I still have VHS tapes around. My AV9000 IMP has a great working video built in and its perfect for buying a movie to see if its even worth buying a dvd version off. VHS tapes go for nothing these days.

Maybe with the next Beovision it will be DVD or Blueray only. Only time will tell.

The AV9000 is only 11 years old. Recently serviced monitor part so if I can go by my '89 LX55000 and VX7000 it will last some years before I can ditch VHS for good. Not that it matters much.

There are alot of movies on VHS that will probably never be released on DVD thats why i think its good to keep a video player at hand, also i think when i get the video working on my AV9000 the quality will be fairly good, judging by the picture i am getting using the tv. We are so impressed we have sopped using our LG 42" hd  lcd tv, my wife has completly fell in love with the AV9000.Big Smile

I have it a bit the same way. The AV9000 grows on me and when founds permits I'm going to get at least some front speakers.

The picture even on VHS is really good but a some level under standard DVD quality.

I am looking for some speakers for my AV9000, B&O ones are so expensive i'll have to wait for a while to save some money towards them, Also i am having the control panel repaired so its going to take a while to get the VHS repaired, i have just purchased a Beosound 9000 and wanted to link every thing together, but cant do it till i have some good speakers.
