BeoSound Century, problems reading CDs

Has received today a Beosound Century who do not want to read CD discs.
Can anyone give me info where I can start troubleshooting.

Check the laser current. DO NOT adjust anything, just check it.
If it's wrong, check the laser current supply but still DON'T TRY TO ADJUST ANYTHING.

Hello Dillen, I tried today to get into the service menu by keying 2650 with the remote control but i can not get into the service mode.

I did exactly as it appeared in the service manual but it is not possible to enter the service mode.
What am I doing wrong??

I am not sure it will work if you are using the remote.

Thanks Martin, I typed in 2650 also with the buttons on the BS Century, but without success to get into the service mode.

- And you did it right after plugging into mains power (within the first few seconds) ?

Hi Martin, I tried now, certainly several times but always without success.
I will surely do a debug when I have time with and come back if I find the fault.
