Hi Eric , just a quick question , do the BEOVISION 9 and the BEOLAB 5s really have a 3 year warranty ?
Flappo The Grate: what puts me off the bv9 ... is the fact the hdr module only records the channel you are watching , which is quite simply utterly bonkers ...

Sorry, this is wrong. HDR2 is able to record any source connected to any Beovision while you can watch to any other source - simultanously.
Is there any other HDR that can do this?
Stefan
HDR 1 and 2 has an internal analogue tuner, so recording when watching another channel is possible with analogue, for recording digital is Flappo right! Hdra 1 and 2 are outdated machines for that reason!

Sorry, wrong.
You can record an external stb and watch for example the DVBS/T module of BV7-40. No analogue tuners.....
Really? I didn't know that about the Beolab5s. Thought they should be rock solid because they certainly look the part.
Well Meridian latest line of speakers with their latest apodizing digital filters installed have won critical acclaim and unlike their previous incarnations, they sound utterly amazing.
ive looked into meridian digital filters its seems there may be a small gain and i certainly love there cd/dvd players there technolgy always
seems way ahead of their rivals
but still prefer the look of bl5 speakers
