The floor stand is a bit like the BV7 / BV6 stand - but, the Tv sits very low on it - making for a very sleek, effective look.

The Tv is obvioulsy designed for wall placement - being so slim, and the bracket is clever......but I saw it recently on its floor stand, and I was very taken with the whole thing - it looked like a more elegant Bv9....

Also, on its stand, it will be an ideal Avant replacement in terms of still hiding the rows of socketry that Avant was so good at covering up, which BV7 & BV8 on pole stands leave exposed - meaning decorating / cable socks etc etc for many - or not bothering for some....so it should be popular - hopefully as popular as Avant was..... in the Uk, Avant sold at around £5200 when it finished - and so as this TV will be around £6500, it is in a similar area to Avant - albeit with no built in vide source.

I wonder too, and hope, there must be some pic soon.

My dealer told me that there will be versions with or without the contrastscreen.

Price 6700 euro with and 5700 without

If someone could post a photoshoped "specimen" picture based on what we know, it would be cool...

The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

imagine a BV 5 with a slim and  polished aluminium frame and combine that with a BV 9 (screen is bigger than speaker cover) with no IR-eye on the frame and without the accoustic lense and there you have it...... Its gorgeous....... And there is an glass AR plate covering the screen (like BV 7). On this glass plate the speaker-cover is attached.

It has a beautiful picture and an amazing sound, IMHO better than BV 8.

mmmm, well, the BV 10 has LED edgelit-panel 200Hz, so in theory this should improve the picture quality. The picture I saw was stunning so I dare to say that the PQ is better thans BV 7 MK III. This tv wil be a hit!

    What is a edgelit-panel?

the LED's are situated in the edge of the panel (above, left, right and bottom) while the LED's in a backlit panel are situated in the back of the panel. The LED's make a LCD panel work (without light, no picture).

I'm sure there are plenty of members out here who can give you more specific information about this.

    Some more information:

The dimensions of the BV10 are 945*1009*67 mm (w*h*d). The weight is 45 kgs.

It has always the contrast glass. AR-coating is an option.

The loudspeaker opening is cut in the front glass.

    Hi Koning,

I don't know, for this moment only the BV 10 has it (LED edgelighting). The upcoming 7-55 will have LED-backlighting which improves the contrast and makes black really black...
