    your next B&O buy?

I wonder what's your next buy?

    I have just completed my B&O collection( BL5, BL4000, Key, beo5 and4, Beolink,  Bc2, Book) with a pair of titanium Beolab 3.

    Although I had before 3 used Beosound 9000(2 MK2 and an MK3) ,  2 pairs of Lab 8000, Beovox penta and 3000, Beolab 2000, Beolab 1 , Beosound 2, Beocenter 9000 & 9300 etc.. I always regreted the fact that I sold them.

However, my next buy will be for sure NEW IN BOX Beolab 8000(titanium color) and the Beosound 9000.

So let us know what's your next buy....

    all sold!

Would you kindly post images of the titanium gear?  I think my next buy will by a pair of BL 5.  It will not be anytime soon, however.  Sooner perhaps, either used or new,  a pair of BL 4 for the mac.

probably a beotime but I want to play (with) it first

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Well there is a difference between what I want to buy and what I shall buy. What I want is a pair of BL3, to compleet my surround system. After I won a pair of BL6000 here at Beoworld (great site Wink), the BL3 is what I want.

What I probably buy is Beotime.

    We shall see.

Still need to replace my broken Beocord 7000... I really like the Beotime too... At some point in the future my MX will need replacement. I guess I will get a BV 8-40 or BV 10-40. Plenty of options to choose from!

Beoworld's twenty-eighth ninth prize winner and fifty-first second prize winner. Best £30 I've ever spent!

    Re: your next B&O buy?

I WAS considering upgrading my BeoVision 7 40 with the Blu-Ray upgarde but had 4 replies in this forum, all negative, all saying a waste of money!!!:(:(:(...so back to the  drawing board on this one....maybe ill just get a PS3.

As for my own set-up, In my living room, I have a Beovision 7 40" M111 with Beolab 7.4 on the  motorised floor stand , BeoSound 9000 CD player over fireplace (very much a wow factor as it looks like a piece of art!), and for speakers im using the BeoLab 8000 and 4000 - scrumptious surround sound.

I have BeoLab 3500 in my kitchen in case i miss a beat and in my Bedroom I have a BeoVision 6 that accesses CD, radio, DVD and TV. Im CONSIDERING a pair for BL4000 or BL6000 for this Tv, although its a small enough room and im Semi-Detached, so the kind neighbours might become less kind if they are subject to any more noise.

I would like another BeoLab 3500 for conservatory room. Not sure though.

I got the Lutron light switches for my living and Bedroom - these are just so good - now all i have to do is reach for my Beo5 remote and i can work everything without moving an inch!!

Any suggestions on this set-up or other ideas most welcome.

    Paul

BeoVision 7-40 MKIV with BeoLab 7-4 Vertical speaker, BeoSound 9000 CD/Tuner, Speakers are a pair of  BeoLab 5 in Black with a pair of BeoLab 4000 as rear speakers, and in bedroom BeoCentre 6-26 with BeoLab 8000's. Both the Kitchen and bathroom have Beolab3500's. BeoCom 2 and BeoCom 5 phones. Beo 6 and Beo4 remotes. LATEST ADDITION: Beogram 7000 with MMC2 stylus....

    Re: your next B&O buy?

My next buy will be a Beovision 9, probably a used one. I have had my Avant for 8 years now, and I would really like a larger screen and something that is HD for my PS3.

I love my Avant, and the only two products in the world that can replace it, is a BV5 or BV9, because they are the only televisions that can "stand on their own", just as the Avant does. As beautiful as the BV7 is, I don't want a flatscreen hanging on the wall, placed on a table or standing on a foot.

Unfortunately it won't be anytime soon, as every time I manage to have some money put aside, unforeseen expenses arrive Sad

But I will get my BV9 eventually, I'm sure about it. Smile

After that, I'd like to replace my BL1's with BL9's, so I have an all ALT surround setup, as I already have a pair of BL3's as rears.

    Re: your next B&O buy?

Besides my collection there are some things I‘d really like to put my hands on (Beocenter 2 (love the doors), Beovision6-22 (for the bedroom) , Beolab 3 (love the look on the low stands) the practical use is minimal as I nearly already have some B&O stuff in every room ..

Its more of a "Oh-my-god-that-would-also-be-nice-to-have-and-play-around-with-thing... then practical need & use....

But there is one thing missing ....

Since I first heard them I fell in love with the power, looks and performance of the mighty Beolab 5 speakers…

One day, I know it… one day the will appear in my living room…

As I want to keep at least 2 of my 4 Beolab 8000s and my Beolab 2, selling stuff is not an option so its a long term (2-3 years) project .

I think I have to convince my wife first to forget the price tag and second that music MUST be played that loud :-)

Short term is of course the BeoTime Clock, I just wonder when it shows up at my local dealer ?

    Best regards

    Stephan

For me it would have to be an 8-40 as the wife won;t let me spend any more on a TV!

Interesting to hear how many people would like BeoTime, here on the East coast of the UK we haven;t had one order! And probably only 5 phone calls about it. So, interesting to hear that one dealer has ordered 50 with 40 already as pre-orders.

Paul, in the livingroom I use  Lutron maestro switches, all controlled by the Beo5. It cost me 30$ for each switch.

In the Beo5 software you have Accessories section and then in the third parties you'll find the  Lutron XML.

    Works perfectly for me....

    all sold!

A 2 way remote from B&O for the BeoSound 5, is at least 18 months to 2 years away! This was coming direct from Kalle at a meeting in the UK on Tuesday.

    So don;t hold your breath!

Actually, in the last year, I have sold more than I have bought! I am seriously considering clearing house and just keeping a few core collectible pieces.

As far as the forecast for purchases: I need a set of SIL/SIL BL4000, and would like to find either BV3000 or 5000 and a pair of 2500 cubes!

Not according to the new Boss.

Most of our customers seem very disappointed that B&O have not come up with a dedicated two-way remote for the BS5.

Hearing from customers that Loewe have a very nice two way remote for their multi room setup is disconcerting.
