    MMC1 Selling Price

I have been trying very hard to find a suitable replacement for my MMC3 for my Beogram 8002.

I found a solid example on eBay listed by a fellow BeoWorld member, which gave me a good deal of confidence that the MMC2 up for auction was a very decent cartridge.

The MMC2 attracted a newbie who was DETERMINED to purchase this MMC2 and the ultimate sale went for $365 with four extra bids made by the newbie buyer.

At that point, it makes more sense to buy a new one from Soundsmiths. However, I just hate their appearance and would rather a used original.

This brings me to my question. The seller of the MMC2 also has a MMC1 that he is thinking of selling, what would be a fair price to both buyer and seller in US dollars?

    Thanks!

    Jeff

Why not get Axel to put a sapphire cantilever and contact line stylus on your MMC3?

    Hello Peter,

I am unaware of Axel and what service he might off to my MMC3.

    Hi

Ive just bought a SMMC1 from Sound Smith for my beogram 7000. I had an original mmc2 which appears to be in good condition.

The difference in sound quality is incredible. With the SMMC1 my vinyl sounds so clear and CD like (only more detailed and warmer). The MMC2 sounds muddy and dull.

I'd go for a new sounds smith stylus if you can.

    Jeff,

If you are set on an MMC2, I have sent a PM/email.

    Thx,
