    BV7 DVD Tray wont close

My 4 year old has worked out how to open/close the DVD tray on my BV7. However, today she grabbed the tray as it was going back in and stopped it. Now it won't close using the sense button.

I have tried the "turn it off and on again" routine but nothing seems to work. Tried pressing all buttons in all sorts of orders.

It is not bent, just stopped from returning under its own steam.

Any ideas how to 'reset' the tray to work again?

    Please help!!!!!

    Hi Barny,

The starting point has to be contacting your dealer first because any attempts made by yourself may invalidate the warranty if its still covered. The tray can be moved manually when the TV is switched off so if you decided to have a go then I guess you could, just go easy and don't force anything. Use both hands either side of the tray to move it up and down. I am not aware of any hard reset options. Hope you get it sorted.

    Simon.

By "turn off and on again" do you mean the mains? If not, try turning off the power for a period of say 15 minutes. Plug it back in, enter pin, and see what happens

Thanks for the replies. I have fixed it. Using the blunt end of a HB pencil, I pushed, prodded, poked and played around with the tray. All the time, pressing the eject button. Not sure how, but I managed to get it to work again.

Now, a four year old girl.... duck tape or cable ties.....which is less cruel???????Stick out tongue

Best to use both methods of restraint - never choose the lesser and potentially less effective option.

Also, don't forget a good beating!
