Re: Prices for the new BV10-40 and BV7-55 !

    schatzoy:

Why do B&O still stick with 40 inch? A BV10-40 is way too small to give you cinema feeling, they should produce a BV10-46 or BV10-52.

    kokomo:

Strange as it may seem Schatoy, perhaps not everyone wants their lounge to be converted into a cinema! I may be in minority, but I watch very few DVDs and want my TV to blend in and not dominate the room. I have seen some setups that frankly look ridiculous. If you have the lounge space OK, but I've stepped in to some rooms and the TV practically meets you at the door!

I think it is a case sometimes of bigger, bigger, bigger. Your desire for a 46 or 52 would have been considered totally over the top not so long ago. Next year, 70" 80", just because it can be done? And yes I am aware of the 103" model.

While I absolutely agree with you Kokomo I think it's also about choices. But if there's just one size fits all, there is no choice. I actually own a Loewe LCD 46 inch and whilst I do not want it to dominate the room I think it looks so georgously good that it I don't mind it being noticed. This would be a whole different story with a plastic monster, super-sized PC monitor aka TV like Sony and the likes.

The BV10 hopefully will also look stunningly good so that you want to make it part of your living room design.

BV 10 before christmas sounds great but will there also be a motorised wall bracket as there is one for the BV 7-40?

The BV10 will be out in November globally, BV7-55 in December.

The BV10 will feature a floor stand, and a "true flat" wall mount, will no motor and no possibility to turn it. Just like the BV4 series.

Inclusive... come on... nothing is inclusive... you probably have to pay extra for the remote, the DVB-T tuner, the ML module, the Surround sound module...

    Beolab:

Bv10-40 will cost 5608 EUR without remote control. And contrast glass will be an additional option for 665 EUR.

Bv7-55 will cost 15,208 EUR including motorized stand and the Beolab 7-6 speaker (same spec as BL 7-2). These will go on sale around Christmas.

And i think these two TV's will become very popular! And the Bv10-40 are count as the best looking TV B&O has ever made!

(All the prices VAT are included)

I was told by my dealer, that both TV will come before christmas. The BV10 will have a souround module as standard. The price would be between 8000 and 9000€ though.

Thanks for the news guys. It's clear that the wall mount will not be motorised, how about the floor mount? Is there an option to add a motor?

are you sure the Bv10 will be 10,000 euro. i heard earlier in the thread that it would be more like 5000 euro.

    10,000 euro for a middle-range t.v...!!!

if it is that much i will be hoping for a bigger bv8 entry level of 50 inches or bigger.

BV10 in size 52" is great as I think size 40" is pretty small nowadays.

I heard the retail price for the 52" model would be close to 11000 euros.

    Is this right ?

    Cheers,

Re: Prices for the new BV10-40 and BV7-55 !

Very thin edges compared with BV7. The whole TV looks like a painting and is meant to be so.

Colours are easily changed with replacable front cloths of speaker. Magnets hold it in place. Many cool colours (including e.g. orange)

It has a very flat appearance....the edges are made of a special alu frame which gives an optical illusion of being thinner than it is.

The built-in speaker gives an extremely good base and overall sound is fantastic. Quite unique for such a flat TV.

2 HDMI free, built in DVB-HD/C, surroundmodule, front glas is optional to bring price down. The wall bracket is very smart and opens like a door so attaching cables is easy. The motorised floor stand looks really cool.

Being at a (for B&O) very resonable price point and has the coolest design ever it will truly help B&O get back on the right track with sales.

I have pictures of it but for legal reasons I can not post this at this point!

It will be launched in october.....be patient!

Thanks Kallenka for the new info! Koning, I highly doubt it would be inferior. After all, it is B&O's "mid-range" TV.

The sound is surprisingly full and at least in the range of BV 8-40....there is a whole new principle for building up the base.

Listen at Samsung LED - the built in sound is terribly. BV 10 has by far the best sound possibly if you think of how thin it is.

Maybe it will be revealed next month and arrive to the shops november / december? It sounds like a very interesting new BeoVision, looking forward to see it. I guess we will see a 46 " next year.
