    Prices for the new BV10-40 and BV7-55 !

    Bv10-40 will cost 5608 EUR without remote control. And contrast glass will be an additional option for 665 EUR.

    Bv7-55 will cost 15,208 EUR including motorized stand and the Beolab 7-6 speaker (same spec as BL 7-2). These will go on sale around Christmas.

    And i think these two TV's will become very popular! And the Bv10-40 are count as the best looking TV B&O has ever made!

    The BV10-40 is amazing value. The BV7-55, less so ! :)

    I guess the BV10 has no inbuilt BS3? Is one needed, like with the BV4 ?

    The specs are not out, but what we've heard is that the BV10 will be built on the same platform as the BV8. So no internal BS3, but not need for an external one either.

    Re: Prices for the new BV10-40 and BV7-55 !

    Why is there a BV10-40 coming;

    the "only/biggest" difference between BV7, BV8 en BV10 is the thickness ?!

    Price sounds good though....

    Which panel does it use?

    BV8 = Entry level

    BV10 = Middle

    BV7 = High end

    BV10 is rumoured to look reeeeeeeeeally nice.

    It arrives before Christmas, and can be ordered in November says B & O right now.

    And the BV10 uses EDGE LED panel lightening for a stunning picture!

    So with the contrast glass, maybe even better picture than BV7 ?!

    Why do B&O still stick with 40 inch? A BV10-40 is way too small to give you cinema feeling, they should produce a BV10-46 or BV10-52.

    Agreed, bigger version are welcome. For me a 40 inch BV10 would be sufficient, though.

    Why they do not use LOCAL DIMMING array backlighting is because the screen is only 4 cm thin and 6 cm with wall mount.

    Local dimming needs more space to fit.

    And Doc.  It will have a better PQ than BV7 until BV7's go LED and when it does that, nobody knows..

    BV7-55 are most likely going to use Local dimming for a even higher and more précised contrast.

    Strange as it may seem Schatoy, perhaps not everyone wants their lounge to be converted into a cinema! I may be in minority, but I watch very few DVDs and want my TV to blend in and not dominate the room. I have seen some setups that frankly look ridiculous. If you have the lounge space OK, but I've stepped in to some rooms and the TV practically meets you at the door!

    I think it is a case sometimes of bigger, bigger, bigger. Your desire for a 46 or 52 would have been considered totally over the top not so long ago. Next year, 70" 80", just because it can be done? And yes I am aware of the 103" model.

    As the TV become thinner, larger screen do not seem so overpowering.

    If you have seen Panasonic future tv on youtube, the wall size = screen size.

    They do when they're switched on and some people think it is Ok to have a drink and a chat with a 46" screen belting out the new action movie in surround sound!
