    BeoPlayer N.Radio

    I have recently become very fond of the N.Radio feature on BeoPlayer and was wondering if you can add internet radio stations to BeoPlayer. Anyone know how?

    Re: BeoPlayer N.Radio

    Beoplayer is used primarily with the Bang & Olufsen audio system products that combine with Beoport and Master Link (ML) connections.

    We have it on our family Laptops, and alone with the Laptop use, it is quite limited.

    However our desktop PC is connected by a Beoport device to a Beosound 3200, and ML on through the house. The radio available via N.RADIO exceeded 5,000 stations + when we last counted.

    In the '50's and '60's up in the Alps, I used to sit up at night and dial around on the shortwave bands listening to radio stations around the world. The cool thing about Beoplayer, and Beoport, is the fact you can experience this today using N.RADIO, with infinitely better speakers, using a Beo remote, or the click of a mouse.

    The answer is NO. Only B&O can add stations.

    I have severall times asked Struer to add this possibility, but the say: send us a e-mail with the station description, URL and so on, and we will add the station to the list. Maybe we must send a RFC to B&O to add this option to the BeoPlayer software.

    Could I use BeoPort with my laptop and BS4500?

    Re: BeoPlayer N.Radio

    The N.RADIO station list on Beoplayer is the sole domain of B&O.

    We forwarded two suggested radio station choices to B&O in 2006, and both were later added. One station seems to go through on-off cycles of ( not available ) and then be re-instated a month or so later.

    Ultimately it is up to the radio station ownership of course, but what marketing manager would not want a little extra exposure and free-publicity today ?

    When used with a Macintosh, which uses different software than PCs...

    (1) There is no N.RADIO database: you must manually add any radios you wish to listen to.  As a starting point, one can use the few hundred radio stations that come included by default with iTunes

    (2) The upside is that you can add any station that is compatible with iTunes

    Hallo Xavier;

    I have both PC and Macbook. I'd like to try that.

    Can you expand on exactly how you add stations manually to N.RADIO ?
