Beomaster 6000 quadraphonic wanted with Beogram 6000

    Hi,

Looking for a Beomaster 6000 quad (i.e. type 2702) and a Beogram 6000 in working order or good suggestion if in semi-working order...

    Am located in Sweden. Smile

    Good luck!

I spent two years looking for mine. Better to search for a broken one (most are), and invest in having it repaired. That was the advice I received from Tim Jarman no less!

    Thanks!

I'll change my request and hope for more luck. Smile

I hope you find a good one. Despite what people say I really think this is a sweet sounding amp with the right sources and speakers. I use mine (serviced by Tim) with some MC120.2s and produces really good results. When I had to downscale my collection I was more than prepared to sell my Beosystem 5000 and an 80s Beomaster 6000 before the 6000 Quad. I suppose that says a lot for how highly I rate this amp!

Beoworld user Simon Bring was selling one in great condition a year ago.  He is located in Sweden so you may be lucky in finding what you are looking for.

He was selling that system two and a half years ago when I bought my Pentas from him! It was in good condition if I remember correctly though, with four P50s the Beogram 6000, and a couple of MMC6000s. Not sure this is the 'cheap' route to BM6000 ownership though as he wanted top dollar for what is/is, to be fair, a top dollar looking system.

Looks a bit beaten up! The cosmetics on these are very important - look in particular at the keys - they start to bend upwards - no easy fix , the perspex - scratches easily - and the wood - this one appears to have been painted black - a poor sign! The electronics are quite tricky to fix simply because there is so much in a small (for what is in it!) box. Essentally it is two Beomaster 901s with bigger transistors. I do actually have one of these and I think it works and has the remote, but I am in the UK so shipping would be prohibitively expensive - sending a turntable lid to Denmark was £100! Surprise The 3400 is a much better amplifier by the way!

But the 3400 is not as beautiful (to me) as the 6000...

Where in Sweden are you located? There is one (actually you get three) for sale in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Have well is your danish? Have a look here:

I'm intrigued Peter - how can that be? - I would have thought £20 would have covered it

    Cheers
