    August Prize Draw

As I'm away at a wedding this weekend and won't be back until Monday afternoon, last night I got my son to help my lug the old CRT down to the local tip last night to make room for the BV8-40.

We now have a nice empty space in the corner of the living room awaiting delivery - I can't waitSmile

That's a shame. You should have kept the old CRT as the BV8 wil be in my livingroom and my BV-6 will move to the bedroom.Stick out tongue

I am afraid you will all have to wait one more month! The BV8 is a little slow in arriving so we have decided that rather than making anyone wait, this month's prize will be a pair of Beolab 6000s and a Beolink Active with the BV8 slipping to September - we apologise for this late revision but the situation is beyond our control. If there are any difficulties caused by this, please email our usual admin address and we will sort something out.

Now look what all you dreamers have done!

Peter......... wouldn't it be better just to stick to the advertised prizes? I'm sure no winner would object to an extra long wait.

Not sure what the delay is - I am but the messenger - but I think it is felt better not to dish out prizes until they are completely confirmed - the delay is rather more than we had expected as this was supposed to be the July prize. A pair of 6000s is not to be sniffed at either! We will give more news when we can.

I think I would agree with this if there was a genuine doubt about whether or not B&O were in fact going to supply the prize. However, if it's just a question of timing then I would say go ahead as things are but make it clear that there's going to be a substantial delay with the delivery. Let's hope that someone at B&O hasn't made a prize donation offer that he or she wasn't authorised to make!

I think we are probably being cautious as I don't think Beoworld would want to find the full purchase price of a BV8-40 - B&O UK have promised us one as a prize and I doubt that  they would let us down but I am not party to the negotiations. I am sure Lee will allay our concerns when he is back - at present having a short break.
