    Beomaster 5

I am interested in viewing web pages on TV's and using the Beo4/BL1000 as a control. It seems the BM5/beomedia will do this but I'm not sure how it would work with an Avant DVD and MCL around the house. I assume it would connect via some kind of ML splitter shared with the 1611 converter at the back of the Avant and I would have to run an ethernet cable to the router. Any suggestions or help appreciated.

Beomaster 5 is more intended to be connected on a HD TV.

The definition of the Avant will not be enough to browse web pages.

From link room it will be even worse.

I am not sure they have released the software patch as well, that allow the BM5 to be used from link rooms.

Also you would need a LINK TV compatible with the PC command. If you're using MCL, I guess your TV isn't.

Viewing web pages works with BM1 and BM5. BM1 can be assigned as V.AUX and will be controled via an optional IR eye when connected to "older" TVs

like MX or Avant. This wouldn`t work in link rooms. BM5 can not (yet) do this, because a sw upgrade it needed to activate the IR input and the link room option, which we all are waiting for..............

Thanks for the replies. Avant resolution seems to be the main sticking point. Armchair web browsing using a beo4 sounds appealing. How effective is it on an LCD screen?
