    Beosound 4 SD Memory Card

Just for members information, i now use a 4Gb memory card with my BS4, there are no delays in accessing albums via Beo4 remote. I use WMA files @192kb/sec so the quality is decent.

The card cost me £20 from www.bigpockets.co.uk with next day delivery.

Is the BS4 service manual availible via gold membership?

And a little addition to any BS2 users, I've got a 4GB SD card made by NPC which works fine. Probably not such a great idea if you often attempt to search for music on your BS2, but I have mine set on shuffle all the time. However I have not tried this SD card in a BS3 or BS4 yet.

That is so cheap! I was wondering, do the high capacity (SDHC) card work on BS4?

    Cheers

I wonder the same, i was only willing to try a 4Gb at the moment, if someones knows a budding digital photographer who uses SDHC perhaps they could lend one and give it a whirl.

My spontaneous answer would be that BS4 / BS2 would not accept SDHC. I have a camcorder which can record on normal SD cards but cannot use SDHC because it requires a special upgrade.

Re: Beosound 4 SD Memory Card

just to add i have tried an SDHC card with no luck, the difference appears to be that standard SD cards are formatted FAT and SDHC are formatted FAT32 maybe an update in firmware may solve this ....fingers crossed?

Re: Beosound 4 SD Memory Card

    I can't find a 4GB SD Card.

The ones I found were SDHC cards.

Are you saying there are 4GB SD cards that aren't HC

or does the BS4 play 4GB SDHC cards?

Re: Beosound 4 SD Memory Card

Hi Britops yes only a standard SD, they are gettinng thin on the ground due to the introduction of SDHC, give ebay ago there are plenty of good UK based suppliers who will get one to you next day for around £20.

The difference appears to be formatting of the card maybe one day they may be an upgrade from B&O  ooops flying pig
