What to do with the TV button on BV 7 Mk III and link TVs

Its going to affect us all in the not to distant future when the analog signal is turned off.  I have 2 other tvs in my house all linked in to the Bv 7.  Has anybody thought about what function if any can be given to the soon to be defunct TV button.  It seems a shame that it will just be a useless button on both the Beo 4 and Beo5.  Any suggestions anyone?

the sooner or the later it will be possible to program the button to a connection, just like a DVD or DVD2.

under certain condition  (BS5 = the main audio), one can program the Radio and A.Mem buttons for N.Radio and N.Music in a BS5 nowadays

Don't mess with the remotes, just implement a configuration option in the TVs that will make a TV command select DTV. It's just TV after all.

Then, what to do with the DTV button? Laughing

There is also the TV-button on BeoLab 2000. I have no use for it since analogue TV died.

The digital tuner on the North American BS3 based TVs is supposedly "hardwired" to DTV and cannot be changed with the current software (other than turning it off).  I know we use a different HD tuner module but is the situation different on European spec TVs?

If i remember correctly before i had the card installed the Dtv button was used for my sky so it can't be locked in like the american version if that is correct.

I have disabled the DTV in my Mk3 and use it for ATV now.

I am looking forward to being able to use TV also then i dont need to use format to access any sources.

i believe i heard the new software allows you to assign TV also but u can run into a problem when the PIN is required as TV is the only source which asks for a pin.
