    turntable outs

Sorry for starting a new thread, but I was last on the earlier thread I started and was afraid this will get lost.

My Beogram 1602 looks to be a gem, except,...someone's put RCA cables on it.

Obviously, the 2400 I just got takes a DIN connector.

Should I swap out the RCAs for a DIN (5 pin I think, but I'll have to look) and if so, what goes where, wiring wise?

Failing that, is there a good RCA to DIN alternative?

    Thanks,

    Scott A.

    Re: turntable outs

    Hi Scott,

the correct sequence for the wires in a 5pin DIN plug are :-

    Pin 2 common ground.

    Pin 3 Left channel.

    Pin 5 Right channel.

There should also be a ground (or as we in the UK call - earth) from the turntable chassis which is the sheilding wire of the cable and needs to be soldered to the metal outer case of the plug or you will get humming.

    Hope this helps,

    Chris.
