Where's Optimistic?  I don't know that place.  Oh........ you mean 'too optimistic.'  Now I understand.

£200 for an HDR1?  Well put it this way, if you get £200 Jon the buyer is either blind, mad or possibly both.  But good for you if you can get it!

    Re: Price for HDR1

I would say that £200 sounds about spot on - but you will need to come across a buyer that needs one.

The HDR-1's STB-C/PUC table can be updated via PC, and as it is light and rather compact (and portable) it is very easy to do so by bringing it to your dealer. Current owners of BV3/Avant/BV5 can, by adding the HDR-1, have access to all STB's currently available - I doubt that B&O will issue another IC for the STB-C.

Sure, you will have to hit V.MEM (or V.TAPE) followed by the green button on the Beo4 (unless you have the Beo5, where it all can be pre-programmed) to watch DTV on an older set - but you get STB control for all the boxes.

And you get the ability to record a tv program...

Brand new and is charging the same price for the DVD2 but I'm in Australia and generally our prices are terribly uncompetitive.

In Denmark there are a campain on HDR2 now, selling for aprox. ½ list price. (DKK 6.995,-)

Ask your dealer - there may be a campain in your country also.

    Re: Price for HDR1

Although i'm not exactly enamoured with the HDR1, they do sell well and they have a small but loyal following!

I would say £200 is perfectly achievable, and if you put it on ebay at this price with a decent listing and clear photo's - it will sell without any problems at all.

I don't think Iconic-AV's price is too out of the way seeing as they offer a warranty.  I think we sold our last one at £295 and it went very quickly.
