Setting Up/Linking Rooms - Conflict Issues

Hi to all, I've been member here a while, just as a lurker though.  I've just moved house (and country) and will be trying to set the following up:

    LIVING ROOM:
    BoVision 7-40, BeoLab 7-4, Motorised floor stand, BeoLab 1's, BeoLab 2, BeoLab 6000's, BeoSound 9000+floorstand, BeoCenter 2+floorstand, BeoCom 2, Beo 5, Sky+, Nintendo Wii

    HALLWAY:
    BeoTalk 1200

    KITCHEN/DINING ROOM:
    BeoVision Avant 32 DVD,BeoCom 2, Beo 4, BeoSound Ouverture+floorstand, BeoLab Penta 2's (awaiting delivery)

    BATHROOM
    BeoLab 2000

    BEDROOM 1:
    AV9000, BeoLab 8000's, BeoLab 6000's, BeoSound 3200, BeoCom 2, Beo 4

    BEDROOM 2:
    MX 4002+motorised table stand(awaiting delivery), BeoCom 2

    HOME OFFICE (BEDROOM 3):
    BeoLab 4000's+floorstands, BeoLink PC 2, BeoSound 2, A8 Earphones, BeoCom 2

    ME:
    A9 Keyring Big Smile
What problems do you think I may encounter?  Mainly with having the BS9000 & the BC2 in the same room  (nowhere else to put it though).  Will there be conflict between the two, will the BS9000 be master and therefore disable the DAB radio/CD functionality on the BC2?
Also, I would like to link the bedroom 1 but the AV9000 can only be master.  Does this mean I will have to have a stand alone system in the bedroom?  If so, what's the best way, without buying another skybox, to distrbute sky to the AV9000?  Is it via one of those wireless transceivers?  Which type is recommended?

All rooms are wired for RF, although I haven't tested it yet as I have yet to unpack and set everything up.
    Look forward to your comments/help.

Just read a previous from Peter from over a year ago mentioning that the AV9000 will have to be run as a seperate system Sad

Can I link the BeoLab 8000 & 6000's to both the AV9000 to keep the Dolby Pro-Logic and also to the BeoSound 3200, linked to the rest of the house.? Obviously, I would have to customise the PowerLink cables to connect to both.

I may be talking the proverbial b*lloc ks, just throwing some ideas into the pot.

    Just a little additional info...

I live on my own, so it doesn't matter if I can only watch on the link TV's what is being viewed from the main source in the living room.  Maybe a bit of an issue when guests stay, I suppose they will just have to get used to p*rn.....

Thanks StUrrock,  I can't bear to part with anything so the collection just gets bigger...

Hopefully, making a start on the setup tomorrow so will let you know what problems I encounter.  Thanks again, I'm sure to PM at some point.

Interesting set up - you have too much! You have correctly identified the issues - the main one being that the Beocenter 2 and Beosound 9000 will not like being in the same room. You could set the BS9000 to Option 4 though so that it will only respond when Link is pressed.

I suggest forking out for the extra sky box and a STB-C, if you can find one. Far superior to any other method - I woulkd actually suggest Sky + as it really does integrate seamlessly.

Why do you have the BC2? It seems somewhat superfluous in you system.

    Don't I know it, I'm a hoarder...!

For the AV9000?  Been on the lookout for a while.  Are they still available from B&O?

The BV7-40 has no DVD player, got it "cheap" as an ex-display from the dealer.  Plus the BC2 just looks so good.  Bit of a sucker for the design.

Talking of design classics, I'm on the lookout for a BeoCenter 9300 (or 9500).  And I'm also after, what i consider to be the Holy Grail, Beolink 7000 Remote Controller.  If anyone knows the whereabouts of such beauties, I'd appreciate the nod.

Thanks for the input, Peter.  I'll update later with progress.

The AV9000 uses the same STB-C as the MX range - no longer listed but worth asking around for one - or getting one from an MX! I understand the BC2 now - I actually have one with my Avant DVD - I wish it was the later one with the audio feedback from the keys though. Having said that, I almost never use it directly - just as the link radio!

Get the Beocenter 9500 as it works very well with the Beolink 7000 - the 9300 does not. Plenty of 7000s around - just most don't work now! Still have mine which is one of the first and it works perfectly!

My set up allows lots of links but I also tend to have stand alone older audio systems scattered around - the older equipment is better made and much easier to get serviced should the need arise. Quite often sounds better as well!
