    Beocord 2000 reel to reel

    Hi, i have some questions about the Beocord 2000 (i think its model k) does it have its own amp and speaker or can i hook it up whit my Beomaster 1200? Is to ment to be wallmounted or standing ?

    I think it is the T that comes with speakers but the K does have an amplifier. However it does also have a normal line out so it will attach to the 1200. The 2000 cannot be stood upright unlike the later 1200/1600. It is however a better performing deck.

    Yup, it has its own amp, and it is very high quality, perhaps a bit too lively and dynamic.

    The line out connector is 5 pin DIN, and really it isn't good enough quality, you do notice the differance when you take the line output through another amp of similar power to the 2000K own amp. This is just down to the leads and connectors.

    If the connectors are cleaned and good quality leads are used, along with a good amp that has good quality input connectors then you will be impressed.

    These machines at the time cost as much as a decent secondhand car.

    Ok ,I found one for sale,and the owners asking 500 Norwegian kroner (about 70$) for it ,it looks fine,But he dont know if its in working  order beacause the powercable is missing .

    The power cable is a 2 pin type, same as those used on Revox tape machines. You see them for sale on EBAY under Revox, not B&O

    Ok,thank you,after reading about the B&O reel to reels i have desided to try to find a beogram 1200 to complete my system whit Beomaster 1200 ,Beogram 1200 and Beovox 2600 from the early 70s
