    BeoWorld development question..

As a constant quest to keep improving BeoWorld, we have been looking at ways of addressing comments made by members on the site.

One comment that was made really got us thinking, and it stemmed from the 'old site'.  On the previous incarnation, you could stumble across products you had never heard of - or even never knew existed, and this made for interesting reading to some people.  Yes, it was all HTML and there were uncorrected errors littered around, but people felt it was a 'journey' and loved landing somewhere they had never intended.

With this in mind, we thought you might like a kind of an 'on Safari'  or 'Lucky Dip' scenario, where you click a button and it throws up a totally random product or article page.  It could throw up a limited edition B&O keyring, or an article on David Lewis, or even a vintage 1920's product - it would be totally random.  If you're bored, just hit the button and see what comes up.

Of course, this will cost money to do as it needs programming - and they aren't free..  But, if you all want it - and think it a good idea, i will take it further.

The Forum would never be a 'landing spot' - it would all be pages on the main reference site.

By all means go for it - browsing the product pages is rather tedious if you'd just like to see what all is / has been there.

Can't see it taking much more than half an hour three minutes of programming, though Stick out tongue

For a trial run, click on Random B&O Product  Smile It will not return all products, and may return non-existent links; since I have no access to the actual database, I don't know which id's are in use...

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

If I want to find something, I can find it on the site now. Personally I don't need this option.

    but keep exploring Lee

I actually like the idea, but like Eric I don't really need it.

Beoworld's twenty-eighth ninth prize winner and fifty-first second prize winner. Best £30 I've ever spent!
