AV 7000 to MCL2P set up

    Hi all,

I have an AV 7000 that I want to hook up to an MCL2P passive amp to a pair of RL6000's.  Any idea which powerlink cable will work between the AV 7000 and the amp?  Also,  the AV 7000 requires a powered sub, correct?

Thanks in advance for all of your help.  This forum is awesome!

    Hi puck5862,

You need mark.2 (Fully Wired) Powerlink cable for your MCL2P.  You can find this via my sponsor link at the foot of the page if required.

If you are connecting a subwoofer to an AV7000, you can:-

    1) Connect Beolab 2 directly to the AV7000

    2) Connect a passive sub (eg. Beovox Cona) to the output of the MCL2P along with the RL6000's

    3) Use a Powerlink to Amplifier Cable (see my link below for details) to connect a non-B&O active sub directly to a Powerlink output on the AV7000.

Hope this helps, please feel free to ask if you have any questions.

    Best regards,

    Steve.

    Hi

    Sorry if I confuse anybody.

I use an AV7000 with mcl2p's both for front and back speakers (cx100) but don't use (full) powerlink mark2 cables.

In fact I had to desolder a few wires in order for it to work (if I remember correctly pins 6,7,8). I tried the thin ones (mark 3? ) and they work.
I think you only need the fully wired ones in combo with an extra room kit....not when the av7000 must switch the mcl2p
Off course, I might be the exception to the rule here .....(would not be the first time...lol) but that's how my system is working ...
