    Beocenter 9000 CD Mechanism

I have a BC 9000 with a non-working CD player. I was told by the B&O service centre that it cannot be replaced as the part is no longer made. They also told me that you cannot use the Cd player from the 9500.

Is this all correct? Is there any other way? Can a CD50 mechanism be used?

I'd love to see it working again...

NB I've posted a wanted ad in regards to this

    Re: Beocenter 9000 CD Mechanism

There are many hundreds if not thousands of BC9000 which have been consigned to the scrapheap because the CD mech is not working.

If the spring which centres and holds the disc in place has disintegrated then I am afraid there is not much you can do. If the CD mech no longer recognises or plays your CD's then it is probably a faulty C2103 on the servo board and you should search this forum for a solution. Simply enter "C2103" in the Search box and you will be amazed!!

You are unlikely to find a working CD mech on this forum so repair of yours is the only option.

    Regards Graham
