MX7000 used with Sky box / vcr sound problems

    Hi all

Just got hold of an MX7000 with a single channel(?) tuner ie BG have tuned all terrestrial channels without a problem - however because of the layout of the house satellite and vcr/dvd watching has to be done using the rf facility ie scart connections are not possible - although i can tune a perfect picture the audio is just white noise tried changing channel output of the vcr and the sat box all with no change - another 7000 with a BG / I / L tuner works just fine is this purely a tuner function? ie limited by the single channel tuner

    Help please!

    Tony

You seem to have an MX7000 intended for the German market?

I think the tuner/if module is set up just for that system, and you will need to replace the module with a Pal I version.

Alternatively, you could consider useing a "wi-fi" system to beam the Sky and DVD signals from the main room, the output of this device would connect via Scart on the MX.This will give you stereo sound also in the second room!

Depends upon what you paid for it.If it's in good shape, and the pictures ok,you still have a super telly with much potential.

The wi-fi link, not B&O kit I hasten to add, will connect up your central system, and provide stereo sound and remote control of Sky/dvd.

    Available from Argos for £80!
