    Manuals - Beomaster 5500

The Beomaster 5500 setup manual and user manual on this site look remarkably similar (both look like setup manuals)... perhaps there's an error here somewhere? Anyway, can anyone point me at a user manual?

I've just bought a BM 5500 from ebay. It was billed as looking good, but "probably not working". The unit that's turned up seems to work fine, but I think someone's been at the aluminium top panel with a Brillo pad :(

You are quite correct. However as the BM5500 has no controls on it apart from the two side switches, the more useful mamual is that for the MCP5500 which is on.

OK, I'll take a look. My MCP hasn't arrived yet, and the sound from the Beomaster sounds muffled, as though someone had turned down the treble, and turned up the bass. I'd hoped to find a manual which said how to adjust tone with a Beo4. Maybe I'll just have to wait until the MCP turns up!

    Thank you Peter.

Tone setting are easy. You need to add A.SETUP to the List. Bring that up and press Go and you can then scroll through Bass, Treble, Loudness and S. STORE (Sound Store - lets you save your settings)
