    RX-2 platter springs or adjustment?

Hi I was unable to find this subject in this forum. Ive had an RX TT for a few years and bought a SMMC2 cartridge recently, then started having trouble with the RX. I took a gamble and bought an RX2 without a cartridge fairly cheap. I hooked it up earlier and it sounded sweet till I got to a quiet passage and heard a rubbing sound. ( The LPs outer edge is rubbing against the plinth.) Ive examined best I could, and not being a jewler I propped up the platter with a few carefully placed pieces of cardboard temporarily and tried it again. That was a great temporary fix, but if anyone has experience with this problem and knows whats involved in solving it Id appreciate some feedback.

         Thanks, John

Essentially the answer would seem to be, bend the springs! Smile
