Most Best Jacob Jensen Design Ever??

The forum has been a bit quiet lately and I was wondering what the bestest everest Jacob Jensen designed product forum members own?

I've been pondering this question for a good few minutes now, and find it hard to decide between my two Beolit 600s and my Beomaster 6000 Quad.

I'd be interested to hear what others think (I'm sure some Beolab 5000 owners will want to chip in!).

For me the Beomaster 1200 and 1203 Beogram.

Of non-B&O products I have a Jacob Jensen phone as used on 'The Apprentice' boardroom reception desk. Great design at a non B&O price!

I am with Jeff BM 2400.

Not sure about the Red Lines. I am thinking David Lewis designed those.

I think that every B&O product designed by Jacob Jensen is a masterpiece in itself.
But for me the most accomplished (and his latest one I believe) is the Beocenter 9500, a timeless icon that every Beofan should own! Big Smile

Very nice - but I personally love your white Beocord 1200 Marc. That's surely got to be one of the best looking JJ designs ever :)

There are so many classics but the one that first attracted me to actually buying some B&O was the 2400 system with a Beogram 4004. Still have one of these system today in the MC40. The 2400 was just so unlike everything else on the market - think tower systems. Simply inspired.

    All is beautiful from JJ!
But a system made up of a white Beogram 4002 / white Beomaster 3000-2 / a white Beocord 5000 (type 4715) and a pair of white Beovox 3702 (reconed) is not bad too!..... Wink .....

    The Beomaster 1900 in Teak.

Still works perfectly, still looks minimally beautiful, and still in love with it.

I have to mention the Beolab 5000 of 1967 (of course) Wink

This product is for me so amazing designed and knowing the story behind the concept (from the B&O book's) this product was really a break thrue for B&O  and the future use of designers.

One product in particular - Beovox 2500 Cube - is for me so beautifull designed

I have Beolab+Beomaster 5000, but somehow they seem more like museum pieces to me instead of design artifacts (they might grow on me though, I've only had them for a month or so).

Of the rest of the kit around here, I'd have to pick either the Beogram 6000 or the Beomaster 2000 type 2801, which I just love even though the sliders are a bit clumsy. The BG will be the last to go however!

This is really hard. Because there's a lot to choose from.

Beogram 4000 is outstanding. And the family of turntables derived from that remains beautiful.

Yet I agree with the Jarman brothers who ask whether the Beogram 1200 isn't the most beautiful record player ever, in their book on collecting B&O. And combine that with a Beomaster 1200 and a Beocord 1200, and you're in heaven - particularly if they're all white. (Or else go with the threadstarter's Beomaster 6000 and Beogram 6000!)

I own Beolab/Beomaster 5000, and have a Beogram 4000 hooked up to them - sheer beauty, and I am considering getting the proper speakers for this setup. Will it be a museum piece? Well, I've heard it play at Frede's place, and I didn't feel I was in a museum. But a lot of the allure is actually in the function, in the sound these units produce, and not just in the looks. Design is about both form and function, and I think in B&O's case with a slant towards the form - and as such, I wouldn't rank the Bl/Bm5000 as JJ's finest form, my vote for that goes to the following (and then there are such a bundle of other objects to choose from!):

I go for the original Beocenter 9000, so beautifully laid out, form and function in perfect harmony, a joy to operate.

Wasn't the 9500 restyled by David Lewis? I very fine job he did IMO, but I think the 9000 is the only one JJ did all by himself, but someone correct me if I am wrong.

I don't own a Beomaster 1200, Beogram 1200 and Beocord 1200 - and still think they're outstanding. But am also a great fan of the 9500. JJ was an inspired designer.

I never appreciated the full impact of the Beosystem 8000 components I owned until I had space to display them in a line next to each other. People who visit are drawn to the system and just seem to want to touch it and interact with it in a truly special way. JJ was a gifted designer for sure.

A full Beolab 8000 system is really a great looking design.

Beosystem 6000 in white with Beovox S120 and Beovox S80.2 complete with SC60 stand is also timeless.

Beosystem 6500 does look modern and cool.

I'm the owner of the above and it's to hard to pick one.
