    Manual search function

    Hi,

I picked up a beogram 5005 a couple of months ago and all in all it seems ok.

My problem is that i am using it with a regular amp so i dont have the ability to use a B&O remote, meaning i cant skip tracks.

Not the biggest problem but a bit of a pain so i was wondering if anyone could tell me of a work round for this? Or maybe a list of other tangial decks that can manually search?

    cheers

    Tom

None of them can "find the tracks" automatically. The stylus drops when you instruct it, either manually or with the remote if you ar using the deck with a B&O datalink system. Only you can see where to drop it, at or near the start of a track!!

Yes i am with you on that, B&O are pretty advanced but that would be just like a CD Player.

Eitther way i would prefer to at least be able to put the needle down somewhere close to a song i wanted to play rather than listen to a whole side to get to the last track for example.

Is there a way of doing this without a remote? if not are there any other decks that have a button that can do this?

    Cheers

Ignore my post, just realised that i can manually move it by holding the Turn button.

Had never tried as previous owner said i needed a remote.

    Doh

    Cheers
