    Album Art?

After finding one of my album art unacceptable, I scanned the cover in high definition. I then replaced all the art in the folder for the album on the BS5 with this art.

When i view the album on the BS5 it still appears to be the old poor quality artwork.

Has anyone got an idea why?

Which file type do you use?

In WMA and MP3 you can embed the cover into the file, that means it does NOT matter which album cover you have inside that folder.

What program do you use for that?

    - Beoplayer
    - iTunes
    - Windows Media Player
    - ...

I am using WMP to rip in WMA lossless.

I am placing a JPG in the album folder labeled Folder.jpg.

Corvin, try and scan your WMA files with Mp3tag, it will show inbedded album art and you can remove them leaving BS5 to use the folder.jpg

WOW learnt spomething new today. I was not aware that WMA embeded the artwork. A bit of a job ahead of me but thankyou so much, the BS5 looks so much better with good artwork.

    Much appreciated.

You are wellcome allways good to learn something Big Smile

I think your can switch of WMP embedding or via WMP delete the coverart for whole album at one time

Actually I have some CD's like hits from 60's and wanted to embed the coverart per track from the original album, but BS5 only takes the embedded coverart from track 1 in a music folder - so that could not be done unless I create seperate folder for each track Confused

    - maybe this will be changed in an update!

At least i can select the whole album in mp3tag and delete the embeded art. I would not like to do it track by track.

What beats me is why only some of the albums had embeded coverart. Hmm

Thanks for that tip!  Works perfectly, and because you can update the whole album at one time, not nearly as daunting a task as I had feared.
