I am actually quite happy with the setup now; I very rarely use the speakers anyway. The CXs will need refoaming first, I thought it would be a nice to try different speakers.
The 901 is situated next to my desk (under my bed); see the photo attached. The choise between 901 and 3000-2 is much because of space and weight; 901 and the speakers (they are not of same size, they are of different series but they have exatcly same speakers inside so they sound balanced enough) fit exactly to the shelf. The 3000-2 is way too large to fit there. On the top of the 901 I have my DVD collection of Gerry Anderson tv-series and movies.
The 3000-2 is good-looking and technically better but the 901 is compact and looks great there in it's minimality. I had the 3000-2 in the livingroom with Beovox S75 but later on I sold the speakers and bought Beolab Pentas and bought a BC9000.....
And yes; I also have a Beogram 1000 as seen in the picture. I have seen some 1203s, too, great turntable.

tournedos: The size difference isn't actually that great That 901 is nice. It is probably one of the last vintage Beomasters I might still buy... Although the 800 is what I really want!

Nice photo of the speakers!
I have always wanted a 800, too! Perhaps because it reminds of the BM900? (or my Stereomaster!) But how would it have looked; a Beomaster 901 + Beocord + internal speakers?!
tournedos: nmartin771: Probably big for my space ! My wife will kill me ! I need something really small to put on shelf .... The size difference isn't actually that great BTW, I arranged these according to my idea of improving sound quality... the 2200's are extremely directional because of the cone tweeters though - they need to be aimed at your head to sound right. And the CX50's are still recovering after my refoam, they are supposed to get better with time. The CX100's sounded great almost right away, though... That 901 is nice. I'm sure you'll like the CX50's as well, they sound great for their size, and will really disappear in a bookshelf so you might survive, after all...

LMAO ..... yep it seems to be the fate of beocollectors to get that type of response ....[:'(]
If you get the chance, go for some CX100's ...honesty the CX50's are a wasted on that receiver and they're the same footprint anyways. If you like the vintage look, why don't you do as I have done for a friend of mine and get a really beaten-up pair and cover it with the same wood veneer finish as your 901 ? Now that would look (and sound) good.
