So, I've been more and more thinking of getting a B&O TV to get the "whole experience".
But what to get...?
I've seen some "bargains" for new BV9's, but it's too large for me at my current place.
So my options are:
BV8, BV5 or BV7.
I like the look of the BV8, and the version I'm considering is the new 40".
BV5 would then be a used one. They are expensive as used, old technology, will it last for another 5+ years? This one is based on looks my favorite.
BV7, some of you remember my comments about this one, and while it looks OK with the vertical speaker it's not as good looking as the BV5 or the BV8...
My setup is BL5's and BS9000. I would like to keep the BS9000 feeding my BL5's with the digital coaxial cable, but would also like to use the BL5's as front left/right speakers.
So what to get?

Thanks for your opinions.
How is the BV5 usually equipped? Has it got everything standard or are there different versions of it?

What about BV7-40 with BL10. It`s a perfect match to the BL5s. Same surface and ALT speakers.
For picture you will have the BS3 with 40" screen, new technology and not too large. There are 3 HD sources connected to my BV7: BM5, TVIX 6500, Lyngbox (Beo makes a PUC for this settop-box right now). As audio sources I have a BS9000 and a BS5.
I can highly recommend this setup.

Can you put a BV 7 with Beolab 10 !!!! It would be fantastic if you could.

Hello my friend !
Long time no see..... probably you are at restaurant all the time ! ( which
is good )
So, in my opinion about your issue is to get BV8 !
The best value for money, great TV, IMO more B&O look than expencive
BV7!
And picture on 40'' is absolutely amassing !
If you don't need integrated DVD, get BV8 and you will not regret it....
I can imagine strict strait line of BV8 and BS9000 and than two curvy beast
on left and right .... uh what a setup !!!
Whish you luck with this sweet dilema ....
See you on Wed@ !
when your Black Label begin to taste like juice just take shot or two of Absinthe and
after that quench with some vodka, if you still feel juice like take beer
with grappa !

Wow! That looks good!
Yeah but do you really want a BV7? hmm.
If you like the aesthetics there, then why don't you consider a second life BV4? and do THIS!

Dave, that one looks even better, but I don't fancy the idea of having a separate box for all the TV's electronics.

Seems like it will have to be a BV5.
I don't use any HD signals, still use DVD, my cable is in SD etc... No plans for a PS3 or Blueray.
And nothing beats the look of the BV5, not even the new BV9.

Now I just made me more headaches... A minty BV 4 37" just surfaced... Privetly sold by my dealer...
What do you guys think of this one?

How much??
It's a messy soloution when compared to a BV5, unless you install it properly and can live with the auxilary cabinet, which you stated that you weren't keen on...

Andreas,
Like Dave says, BV4-37 needs an extra box to hide, the Beosystem 2. You want one unit solution.
My advice: Go and see the picture with DVD and SD on the BV5, the BV5 (HD ready), the BV4-37 etc.
Regards, Robert

Dave, the BV4 would only have been about 2500 euro. And locally, not meaning it has to be transported and possibly damaged. Not too bad, but I agree it is a messy solution compared to BV5.

Isn't the BV 5 bigger? plus has that inbuilt speaker..... also goes really well with a pair of Lab 5's
I like the BV4... but if you're getting one you want it at least in the bigger size.
