    Beo5 Display

My Beo5 will only activate back light when I touch the display screen, but will not light up when any of the hard buttons pressed, is this normal.

    Hi Piet and Stan

Thought it was just me, guess that is the way it is suppose to work, but I think it would be better if back light came on with hard keys.

Wonder is it possible to make this happen.

This is how it was designed. The backlight turns on when you grap it from e.g. a table or when you press the display (depending on the ambient light). The reason for this is to avoid that you drain the batteries by keeping the backlight turned on when using the remote on Teletext pages. Also if you just sit with the Beo5 in your hand and adjust the volume occasionally or is a great zapper using step_up and step_down then you would also use a lot of power on keeping the backlight turned on.

There is no way of changing this by configuration or other means. You have to leave it for a while and grap it again to turn on the backlight or throw it half a meter into the air and catch it again Big Smile

    SmileHi Burnix

Think my catching ability  might not be up to scratch after a few Friday night beers -  come to think of it I might not be able to find Beo5 after a Friday night beers.
