    Home cinema and Avant TV??

I have an Avant, DV1 and Penta speaker set up, can anyone tell me how I connect a Samsung Projector to run a home cinema system?

The Avant has no output for a projector so I can see this being a dificult task but it must be possible.  The DV1 can be connected directly to the projector via video phone sockets but this then means that the DV1 will not respond to remote control signals as it is not connected to the tv. Also this method would prevent to sound using the tv and penta speakers.

    Any suggestions?

    Regards
    Nick

The US Avant has a VGA out that connects to either a Sim2 or Runco projector and controls it perfectly with "FORMAT 0". I have this working perfectly with a Runco projector. Perhaps the European Avant lacks a VGA out?

I don't think the UK Avants have a VGA out - the early ones most certainly don't.

Re: Home cinema and Avant TV??

    Hello,

I used to have a similar setup and used a Scart router to fix this.

This scart router has 2 scart outputs; can be used for the tv and one for the beamer. It also has dolby digital in- and outputs and several inputs, making it easy to extend the connection possibilities to your avant.

The way i used it was that I connected a non B&O through scart and DD to the avant and from the dvd player directly to the beamer by component video (for better picture quality). But as said before, you can also connect it from the router to the beamer.

Since I have upgraded to the BV8 I am not using the router at the moment; if you are interested let me know. I live in the Netherlands and have no idea on shipping costs etc. Please PM me if you are interested.

    Best Regards,

    Bieele
